Only 5 hearings were run during the entire event with no protests in 49erFX class. 3 out of 3 hearings on Part 2 were witnessed by the Jury on the water and referred to rule 18.3 and 18.2(b). In majority of cases where the rules were broken a boat was taking a penalty turn. The high level of fair sailing was very visible among the youth squad in both classes.
Despite tricky and challenging wind conditions Race Management was very efficient. On the last day theatre style racing took place.
