Chairman's report
There were 1562 entrants in this year's Barcolana.
Winds were light and the race was shortened at mark 2 ? a distance of 5.6 miles from the start line. All those who wanted to finish were able to do so.
The principal issues for the jury related to requests for redress for OCS two of which were granted.
The course configuration had been changed to make rounding the first two marks somewhat less of a challenge and the overall course distance was reduced to 13.2 nautical miles. The start line remained at 1.8 miles in length.
