This was a very challenging event, mixing offshore & WL racing for all the categories, changing the venue every 2 days.
We have to judge Add Q on the Water for the Soto 40, and then on shore the normal protests for the rest of the IRC & J105 Fleets.
We run mandatory morning briefings for the Soto 40 class, that we think is a better system for everyone, because you always have all the opinions about any incident, in front of everyone. This system often helps, by letting the competitors know the way the umpires judge, and also helps the umpires, because we can listen to the competitors' opinion on how close is "close" by learning the possible collision point from all the competitors, after the avoiding action. Luckily we didn't have any damaging collisions on the Soto 40's.
With depths up to 400 meters, the RC handled the races in a professional way. Changing the venue every 2 days was also a challenge, because this involved changing the racing office, Notice Board, etc, and moving marks, boats, by land or water.

Also security was added after most of our fuel was stolen from many of our rubber boats for RC and Umpires on one isolated but beautiful venue, but this didn't affect the logistics of the event at all, as the organizers had a backup source of fuel readily available at a short notice.
