C420 RO displayed course signal that was not being used by this class in error. Only one C420 sailed the proper course displayed and protested the seven C420 who failed to sail the course as posted were DSQd under 28.1
Race officer applied for redress for the seven DSQd C420 due to significant RC error that their scores were made worst due to no fault of their own. Redress was granted due to an improper change to the sailing Instruction posted by the PRO not following the required instructions in the sailing instructions, i.e., Code Flag L was not displayed with the posting as well as a numerical pennant indicating the change number to the sailing instructions.The competitors were unaware of the change to the sailing instructions. The C420 that sailed the course displayed was scored first and the other finishers were scored in order of their finish plus one position down, i.e., 1 moved to 2, 2 moved 3, etc...
