The jury secretary observed a coach(parent) deliberately disrupting and frustrating another competitors attempt to complete and lodge a protest form prior to the time limit and while doing so the time limit expired. Upon learning of this the jury invited the competitor to lodge the protest late if he wished to do so and during the hearing decided that there was good reason to extend the protest time limit in such circumstances.
After the protest hearing the coach was interviewed and given a verbal warning regarding the unacceptability of his behaviour.

The race committee did an excellent job in a course area that was challenged by strong tides and a large number of shipping movements. A total of 14 anchors were fouled and lost. In early races there were a significant number of boats left off finish sheets however a robust scoring enquiry process resolved all issues without recourse to redress.
