THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
The keelboat classes were made up of Racing, IRC1, IRC2, Multihull, Sports Boat, Club Cruising and White Sails. The SI was well written to cover all the different classes and course configurations. Daily consistent winds from 12 to 20 knots of wind in almost perfect weather conditions kept the races on schedule. The courses were a mix of windward leewards, island races and polygonal courses around marks. There was a Rule 69 hearing resulting from a report received. A male crew was penalised with a warning and a mandatory apology to a mostly female crew of another boat when he urinated overboard, exposing himself in full view whilst racing abeam close by. - MASLC2
