THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
- This event was the 49er/49erFX/Nacra17 Olympic qualifier for Europe and Africa. As such it attracted many competitors, with a high level, despite the current Covid situation. - Just before traveling to the event, one of the appointed jury members was identified as contact and therefore did not travel. However, with the six remaining jury members, the international jury was still properly constituted under RRS Appendix N. - The management of hearing requests was done online (from lodging to posting decisions), which was positively welcomed by both the sailors and the jury members. The hearings were held in person, but without observers, to limit the number of people in the jury room. - A new RRS 42 infringement was observed with Nacra17 ooching while foiling. This has been reported to the class and will be further discussed with the sailors. - FRAYP8
