THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
It was a great and smooth event with excellent sailing conditions. There was an international jury of 6 judges with 2 attending the meetings and hearings remotely. The organizer provided an excellent equipment for remote hearings, with big TV screen with camera so it could not be better preparation for remote hearings. However, this solution still was found by all jury members, as not adequate to provide the best service for parties. It should be used an emergency situations only. There was no problem to use technology and to run it via online but physically present jury is essential in our sport to provide the fair and best service for sailors. This event jury was convinced that remote judging/hearings cannot be a standard or normal option to constitute any International Jury. - ESTAP4
