This Annual Yachting Challenge, the 10th in the series is to attract sailors to sail in the waters of Borneo in the East Malaysian States of Sarawak, Labuan and Sabah. It consists of harbor races and overnight passage races between the cities of Miri, Labuan and Kota Kinabalu. It attracts entries in the IRC and Cruising classes. For Cruising classes, motoring is allowed in the overnight passage races between the cities, 15 minutes after the start and motoring time is added to the elapsed time of such boats. Boats that use the motors are not placed ahead of boats that do not motor.
