Regarding Hearings:
We received 6 Hearing Requests. Four of these, including a Rule 69 report, were combined into one protest hearing. The Rule 69 report was handled at the start of the protest hearing. The competitor apologized for his behavior, the apology was accepted and the competitors shook hands. Under rule 69.2 (b) the IJ decided not to call a Rule 69 hearing.
Regarding Technical Committee:
The OA brought J/70 Class Measurer, Thomas Loesch, to ensure that all boats were equalized and measured in. Communication with competitors was thorough and all questions were answered. There were no penalties for infringement of class rules.
