Although this event is named the ASAF CUP, the OA invited national teams not only from Asian countries but also all over the world to this event. The event was the third time this year, and the OA invited 15 teams from 13 countries. 9 races were held over 4 days, and the 1st ~ 10th place teams were awarded a prize of US$7,700~US770 each.
In addition to the J70 class, the Optimist class was also held at the same time, and 8 races were held over 3 days and as a prize money 1st ~ 5th place was awarded 690US$~US$230 each 4 divisions.
It appears that the organizers made a concerted effort to adhere strictly to the sponsors' mandate.
For future editions, it is our hope that the OA will take further steps towards promoting international standards for managing races.
Notably, despite grappling with unfavorable conditions like gentle breezes and substantial tidal fluctuations, the race committee admirably tackled the challenging objectives outlined by the OA while successfully carrying out their duties. - SINWT12
