THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
The logistics of the venue of the hosting club in Viana do Castelo were excellent. The meteo was very favorable, so the top class event management by the OA, as well as the excellent race management by the PRO and by the Race Committee, allowed to complete the full program of 12 very good races for each of the 3 fleets. All races have been very demanding for the competitors under technical, tactical, as well as physical perspective.
The work of the jury was accomplished smoothly also thanks to the very good team approach by all members. All good team players in the assigned roles and beyond, willing to support each other and the chair at any times. NJs in development had the chance to be engaged in arbitration and hearing activities, also by chairing and scribing with satisfactory results. Some of the hearings also resulted in very good discussions on interpretation of rules and application of procedures. - ITACU2
