One Jury member (IJ) had a medical emergency just before the event and the International Jury invoked N1.5 with 3 remaining IJs and a 4th NJ member to remain a properly constituted International Jury. The Jury Member on a medical emergency continued to participate in the hearings from his hospital bed via Zoom so that all hearings were carried out by the full 5 member jury.
The event was very well organised and the hospitality towards ITOs were exceptionally good.
The inaugural Jakarta International Sailing Championship, will from next year, be part of a watersport festival and likely with a new competition name. Stand Up Paddling (SUP) and Dragon Boat races were held concurrently with the sailing event.
