The event consisted of 3 different formats (course, sprint - slalom, long distance). For the sprint format, Appendix UF was used with 6 umpire boats and 8 umpires. Arbitration under Appendix T is almost impossible as almost all incidents involve serious damage or injury. The class will shortly be applying for WS International status, so they should consider restructuring and rephrasing their class rules. Waszps are very fast (e.g. they spend 1-3 seconds in the zone) so they should also consider applying high-speed rules to their events. Two redresses were given because of improper actions by the RC in identifying boats, displaying their sail numbers and preventing them from restart of the race.
