The level of rules compliance on the water at this event was generally good - only 3 of the incidents giving rise to hearing requests involved breaches of the Part 2 rules. However, the fact that there was serious damage to boats in collisions that could reasonably have been avoided is regrettable. In the post-race measurement program all boats checked were found to have complied with the ORC rules.
The Finnish Offshore Racing Association in partnership with the Ålandska Segelsällskapet organized an excellent Championship, with convenient shoreside facilities for boats and competitors. The races were conducted efficiently by the race management team, and the full schedule of 8 races were completed. - RSADH7
