THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
For this event the NoR deleted T2, T3 and T4, but not T1. Therefore the Post-Race Penalty was available for competitors and could be taken any time before the hearing (for suitable cases), but there was no arbitration meeting. No competitor took any Post-Race Penalty. More than 60% of the cases were also a request for redress. Redress was given to a competitor that got entangled in the anchor line of a mark wrongly laid and while a RC vessel was helping her to get free, caught the sail in her propeller destroying it completely. An allegation of misconduct was reported to the jury after they had left the event. The OA appointed the same members to act under rule 69 and there is an ongoing investigation. There are rumors that there was a lot of misbehaving by competitors during the event which led to the police being called twice at the venue. One day, sailing was not permitted due to a restriction issued by the local authorities because of DANA storm. Unfortunately, the medal series were not completed due to lack of wind. - GRESK14
