THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
Great event! Very well organized by Shenzhen Sailing Federation. Very kind atmosphere among sailors, sailor’s parent, race offices, jury members and support personnel.
A close working spirits between all members of organization team (OA, TD. RO, Jury and Volunteers),
Modified umpire fleet racing rules for keelboat and modified Appendix P rules for OP class were applied.
It was notable that some of the coaches lacked a proper understanding of the penalty turn for breaking rule 42 (two turns) and this lead to DSQ (did one turn only) among some of the young sailors in the first day of racing.
Event venue was ideal for racing. Well conducted on the water by Jiang Chonglun, as PRO and Huang san, as deputy PRO. They set excellent fair course in perfect racing course in three days. All races were completed as scheduled for the keelboat.
Weather condition was good, which allowed two races of keelboat to be completed, and after that, three races of OP class to be completed on the same day.
All sailors were satisfied by the work of RC and Jury.
