THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
A very good humoured regatta comprising three passage races and four inshore races. The unusual format was to have an IJ traveling with the fleet as arbitrator/protest committee chairman, with the provision for protests at each location with local judges. Most disputes were amicably settled within the rules after pre-hearing discussion with the arbitrator (not of course about details of the specific incident) The Race Officer set perfect courses even avoiding a minefield (literally) being laid by the Malaysian Navy off Pangkor. Winds were generally light at the start of the passage races, although fresher winds came up during each day/evening
A very enjoyable regatta for all, embodying all that is best about yacht racing! - HKGTS1
