The championship was very well organized and hosted by the Yacht Club Sanremo, and the venue delivered excellent racing conditions with winds ranging from very light to 20 knots, and waves up to 1.5m at times.
Of the 13 hearing requests 8 related to 6 incidents in which contact between boats had resulted in damage. In 4 of these incidents the damage was serious and redress was given accordingly.
Four members of the jury conducted the hearings in person at the venue, while the fifth member attended all hearings remotely via Google Meet. With a webcam strategically placed in the jury room, and all request forms and video evidence transmitted to the remote judge via WhatsApp, the process worked well.
