THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
The 2025 136. Travemünderwoche was a low key event when compared with previous recent years, with fewer class nationals/continentals/worlds than normal, and some last minute class event cancellations. This in part contributed to fewer hearings and infringement observations on the water. The jury gelled really well and was a refreshingly equal mix of young/old; gender; NJ's and IJ's. There was fantastic cross pollination of ideas between the judges, and the daily Rules Academy talks were well prepared and sparked interesting discussion. The jury worked efficiently, with good humour and camaraderie, and could have handled many more cases if they had come! Because of its popular multiclass ethos, the event continues to be an excellent training ground for judges seeking reference. - NORSH19
