THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
This was the first event where the new class rules modifying Rule 42 were in force. A number of competitors had formed the view that Rule 42 had been removed completely so pumped and ooched repeatedly in light conditions. Three teams were protested by other competitors and two found guilty and given a 20% penalty.
The next morning the Jury posted a copy of the rules and some interpretations from ISAF. No more problems were experienced.
No issues.
