The 125 annual regatta which included two world and 4 European championships, was held on very windy conditions with big waves which was challenging for lot of sailors.
O?pen BIC class was using the direct judging under amended Addendum Q, when other classes used a standard protest procedure and arbitration system.
There was an everyday Trave race for spectators on the river where each day top of one class was sailing on very short course (~5 min) and with simplified starting procedure. On the water direct judging was applied. There was live TV coverage with commentator, which made these races very popular amongst spectators.
On some racing areas the height of the flag poles on the committee boat were not high enough to be seen by racing boats. On the last day there was no racing because of lack of wind.
