THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
Redress granted after a race had been abandoned by the RC in the last third of the finishing leg of a 3 laps WL course. After making all boats in the fleet parties to the hearing, decision was to reinstate the race result by taking the rounding at the previous top mark as the finishing order.
Under the current RRS 69, the jury had difficulties to implement the Coach Boat Regulations. In addition, the accreditation system (no names and identification on the cards) and the lack of control of Coach boats berthing made difficult to instruct the OA to take action on coaches misconduct.
