THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
The Sailing Instructions were developed by putting many sailing instructions together so it took more time to review and modify. There were only 4 days of racing with no spare so the schedule was quite tight. In order to reduce number of hearings and hearing time since there were 12 classes with 250 entries, Arbitration was introduced and it worked fine. Due to foul weather, only 3 racing days were completed. In one class, a single round robin is not completed to determined top 10 for Medal race on the last day. So the SIs was amended to have the protest hearing and Arbitration on the water before Medal race. On the last day, there was one Arbitration on the water so they were able to have Medal race as scheduled.
All on-the-water jobs were successfully executed by local race officers.
