THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
We used a new combined NoR and SI that will cover the remaining SWC events in 2015, supplemented by a short local SI. This avoided duplication and should reduce printing at each venue. However, some people were not comfortable with the format. It will be reviewed for the 2016 series
In an RS:X incident there was contact between two boards and one capsized. However, Case 77 applied and no board broke a rule. So no redress for the capsized board.
For the second SWC event in succession, hearings were required prior to the event regarding eligibility.
One penalty under rule 42 was given to a Finn following the recent interpretation regarding rowing with the boom while Oscar was displayed.
On the Paralympic course, an additional windward mark was added to avoid both classes rounding the same mark at the same time.
