Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
The Star Sailor League Finale format was to sail a qualifying series followed by a one-race quarterfinal, semifinal and final using direct, on-the-water judging using a modified Addendum Q and modified Star Class Rules. With the rule 86.2 permission of ISAF Addendum Q was changed to allow for limited redress during the qualifying series. With the permission of the International Star Class, Addendum Q, Appendix P (with the "O" flag minimum of 6 kts.), number of races per day and courses were changed by the NOR and SIs. No additional issues arose.
Uncharacteristic light winds for Nassau in December allowed on seven of the nine qualifying races to be sailed.
