THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
Excellent venue and good organisation.
8 races were sailed for each group, in winds from 10 to 25 knots.
Good behaviours from the sailors and the coaches.
The regatta was sailed under standard laser SI.
One situation needs to be clarified in the SI : if sailor gets a 1st penalty, does not make a proper complete penalty (i.e.: 1.5 turn) and the race is later on abandoned (and resailed). The class's wish is that the sailor should not be allowed to restart, but the current SI are not completely clear on this point .
Comfortable and convenient jury room.
Very good race management from the PRO, who had to deal with shifty conditions in some parts of the day.
Good communication between OA, RC team and Jury.
We used Laser class online system to publish jury documents (Time Limit, protests schedule and results, RRS42), which allowed to publish quick information.
