Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
It was a very challenging event with over 900 boats in 4 different boat parks up to 6km from race HQ. We had 35 jury with 6 secretaries. Everyone made an extraordinary effort to provide a good service. The OA, RC and TC were a pleasure to work with from months before the event. In general, everything that was promised was delivered, although communication systems to the boat parks could have been set up in time to be tested before the first race day. The number of hearing requests (185 in total) were amplified by support person hearings, a high number of requests for redress resulting from delayed responses to scoring enquiries and the addition of kiteboarding. - GBRJD6
