This Class is again reckognised by World Sailing after 22 years. There were three diciplines: course racing, slalom and a marathon.
The total score was the total of: course racing series place; course average (course race score divided by the number of races less the number of drops); slalom score plus the marathon score. - BELJS4
The event marked the renewal of the International Windsurfing One Design Class with a new low cost standard boat selling on-line for approx €2000. The first World Championship in 25 years run under RRS including App B and the Class Rules with an International Jury approved by the FIV. The event combined the disciplines of Course Racing, a Slalom of Heats and knockouts (Semi Final and Grand Final), a Marathon (60-90 minute race with no App P) and Freestyle. App P was enabled for the Course Racing windward legs from 30 secs after the start. The Marathon was the most popular race bringing out different disciplines - a gate start all in for 160+ boards and a finish on the beach. The overall scoring combined Course Each points, Marathon and Slalom points with Freestyle being separated. - IRLMO31
