THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
The event received considerably less entries than budgeted for. It only provided one boat for the jury so it was not possible to provide a fully satisfactory Appendix P cover. Furthermore the accommodation of one of the IJs was not paid for. In addition one judge remained in Hobart Australia and the hearings were conducted for him by Skype. I am submitting a separate report on this aspect of the event, but briefly it worked. When I was first asked to chair the event, there was only provision for four jury members and the class did not seem to understand that this would not constitute an international jury so that the event would not qualify as a world championship. - GBRDL8
