It was first ever iQFOiL championship and with an excellent participation. Especially considering the COVID-19 situation and limitations. There was a strict requirement for all sailors and officials to wear masks at board park and all meetings.
As a new class different formats were used, including the fleet racing, marathon and the slalom elimination as the final series with 'winner took it all' format.
There was a stage for spectators on the beach just front of the finishing line. It was very spectacular for audience.
There were number of hearings where contacts and damages occured as the equipment is fast and the fleet is still learning to handle the equipment. Fortunately there were no injuries.
It was definitely a successful event where everybody enjoyed it! - ESTAP4
