THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
Due to covid regulations, 3 race and jury offices were distributed in 3 different venues, which meant that efficient scheduling management for all hearings was needed (this was done by the main race office together with the jury secretary).
Appendix T applied for all classes.
6 hearings were conducted under RRS N1.4(b).
One of the sailors was tested positive on covid-19. OA was advised by the local health authorities and informed the sailors by notice. Close contacts of the positively tested person were excluded from the venue until they provide the negative tests to the race office. The sailors had provided the negative tests as they were advised. Redress was given to the sailors which did not sail in races after they provided the negative test.
Two NJs were assessed for the IJ Reference form, Two RJs were assessed and recommended to GER MNA to apply as an NJ.
A large number (130 in total) of notices to competitors and SIs changes was quite challenging to keep being informed.
