The jury sought clarification from (ISCYRA) under 64.4(b) concerning the application of STCR (ISCYRA) 34.3.1 in regard to a request for redress against the race committee. The NoR and SI were silent as to the STCR (ISCYRA) Format designation of the event, noting SI 7.2 7 races, per STCR (ISCYRA) 27, are scheduled. No more than 3 races per day may be sailed.
Tom Londrigran, International Star Class President, provided comment that he believed the South American Championship was being sailed under STCR (ISCYRA) Format C given a 25 boat fleet. Further commenting, under STCR (ISCYRA) Format C, the course leg can be from 1 nm to 1.5 nm.
