The World Championship was very well organised by the Royal Yacht Club of Victoria. The off-shore as well as on-shore arrangements left nothing to be desired. The race management was of a very high order. The World Championship was preceded by the Australian National Championship. Almost all the Australian competitors of the Nationals, who did not succeed in finding a place in the allotted quota (for the host nation) for the Worlds, sailed as a Promotional Fleet during the same regatta. The World Championship fleet consisted of 31 entries and the Promotional Fleet consisted of 25 entries. Prior to the competitor briefings, the host club organised activities every morning to make it enjoyable for the young sailors and to enhance interaction among them. Overall, it turned out to be a great event. - INDGJ1
