This event was sailed in a very positive spirit with a multi-cultural and multi-lingual entry. The event was fair and well contested. The organizers were resourceful and accommodating in meeting requests to raise and attain safe and reasonable standards with delivery and equipment for judging and race management. In the jury, we had fantastic synergy and transfer of knowledge between all parties, with the focus on improving rule knowledge, hearing experience and on-water positioning and accuracy. We discussed and presented thorough outlines each morning, including umpired team racing formats; rule 42 positioning and procedures; part 2 rules; and hearing processes for protests and redress. The location was well-suited for the event, and although the wind was mostly light, 8 out of 10 scheduled races were completed. Morocco and the Royal M’Diq Yacht Club were gracious and welcoming hosts. - RSALS2
