Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
The organisers and race committee did a great job and the safety system worked really well when the fleets were hit by a pop-up weather event of 25-35kts. Everyone covered their sweep zone and the coaches (and RC) repeatedly helped all boats that needed assistance, taking bigger sailors out to help smaller sailors sail in. The umpire RHIB pairings for medal racing were decided and then implemented for the last day of fleet racing so the jury teams could familiarise/practice communications and working together. This worked really well and enhanced performance in the medal races. - AUSBF10
