Places 8 to 15 sailed the Semifinals. Places 1 to 7 and the winner of Semifinals sailed the Big Final.
The team with the lowest points after the Big Final was the winner of the 2016 Jr. World Championship.
Three red flag penalties on the Medal Races.

Exceptional venue and very good organization.
Excellent cooperation between the OA, the RC and the Jury.
Very efficient and professional race management.
All the Opening Series starts with flag U as preparatory signal.
Eighteen races sailed with beautiful weather in winds from 5 to 18 knots.
Good behavior from the sailors and the coaches.
There was a regatta website with jury documents and class rule documents. This web-based site was available on-line for all competitors and race officials to access at any time.
