Sailboarders did not seem to appreciate that the OA cannot keep the course area clear of cruisers and they certainly did not know their obligations under IRPCAS - especially overtaking boat to keep clear even if the boat being overtaken was a vessel under power.
Generally the redress decisions were well received but when they affect the whole fleet, some in the fleet will not agree, depending on the effect on their overall position. One race was scored by the IJ from a video after the finishing line mark went AWOL. No competitor requested a reopening or challenged the video, just the outcome.
Race management had a very difficult event. It seems that many of the volunteers had not worked together and did not appreciate external IROs. There were some major requests for redress, involving whole fleets on two occasions.
