THIS SECTION MAY BE COMPLETED BY ANY JURY MEMBER
Comments on rule questions, new interpretations, problems, unpopular Rule 62 (Redress) decisions, summary of the facts, conclusions and decisions of Rule 69 (Allegations of Gross Misconduct) actions, problems with Sailing Instructions or Notice of Race and experience with experimental procedures.
The event was run under Addendum Q with direct judging, fleet umpiring throughout. The Star Class Association gave permission to change the class rules to permit kinetics in winds great than 6 knots and the use of stays to promote rocking. Four jury boats gave good coverage for 25 boats in the qualifying series. World Sailing permitted a change to Addendum Q to permit redress (RRS 62.2(b) and (d)) in the qualifying series, but not in the quarter finals, semi finals or finals. - CANAB17
